I really need to play this properly... Got a few worlds into 1 and then butterflied...
Although 1 does feel rather janky in comparison to 2 onwards, it still has that magic. You could go with 2 if it's not your liking though.
Not that I don't like it or anything like that, I did - I simply went to something else that I got distracted by.

It was mind-boggling it even existed back then, it's even more mind-boggling it was fantastic, and it's most mind-boggling it grew out to be one of the biggest gaming franchises ever.
I still can't believe it exists honestly!!

The first game is the reason my older brother got interested in a PS2. Got it and it led into playing FFX. Both franchises went on to become two of my whole family’s favorites! I remember being absolutely baffled that a game like that even existed. It’ll always have a special place with me 🥹

Every time I replay any of them it just feels like coming home after a long vacation. They’re special for sure.
