I have the privilege of being able to use my VA Disability funds to move and it's taken me 3 years of struggling to do so.

You need help? What sort of help?
While I definitely could use help, that's not why I comment. I comment because as a white Disabled Woman intersectionality matters in my feminism. I comment because while I *AM* getting out, I realize that's an EXTREME privilege that even my own friends have said they wish was accessible to them.
They weren't kidding about accessibility of moving out of this area. The South is its own network of semi-self-inflicted poverty and we're raised to not understand. That being said;
I'd rather help go into organizations like the following: Southern Coalition for Social Justice SouthernCoalition.org Southern Center for Human Rights – Equality. Dignity. Justice. schr.org Southern Poverty Law Center SPLCenter.org And I can't speak for all states, but for my state: SCwren.org
While I understand the desire is to get people out, these organizations serve to protect those who remain here who can't afford to move. Right now there is a lot going on. My goal is to get out & dedicate every dollar I earn to either sustaining myself or advocating for those who can't get out.
I’m in the process of downsizing to become nomadic. All I’m keeping is my camping/survival equipment & food.
I wanted to somewhat do that with everything else in a storage unit. But, without overly complicating this thread: family. 😅 Hence the few years to get out.
