Many of them were from Venezuela, and those (130+-) were sent to Venezuela last month (I think). Many are just stuck in the El Salvador gulag. The world is not safe with this regime in power.

Thanks. I thought I had that right, and having it right, pleased as I am for this one individual, I've been worried all along that for all the focus being on him so many others equally deserving could slip through the cracks, an effective win for Trump. That seems to have happened. 😞

It's true. Kilmar's case was unusually badly handled because he had a court order protecting him feom being sent to one country: El Salvador. If he were truly a danger to the community, they could have lined up the ducks to legally send him somewhere else, and he'd be gone for good.

Many thanks for the history on this. It makes it much more comprehensible.

They were in such a hurry to #disappear people that they cut corners, made errors, and wound up spending way more time, money, and credibility than they would have. The courts are quickly turning against the "presumption of regularity" that DOJ built over centuries of generally decent behavior.
