Right? It’s a kind of a back burner stressor for me, but it acts up intensely at times. I have cut ties with many of my MAGA cousins. My relationship with my dad is tenuous at best.

Back burner stressor is a good term for it. There is definitely an alienation going on in mine,cutting of tied and distance between liberals and maga in my extended family. Has def changed the dynamics.
