I don't think this is a joke cos when I worked in a hostel in Rome, an American guest genuinely asked me why they built the colosseum next to a metro station. That was nearly 20 years ago & I still remember it cos to this day it's the dumbest question I've ever been asked. & I talk to men everyday.
You have to imagine his voice but this could have been the king’s comeback: “Well….ah…my ancestors did some preflight checks and couldn’t foresee a problem putting it here….”
