I commissioned the Chancellorsville so I like the original name. They should have named one of the new ships after Robert Smalls and do the commissioning ceremony in Charleston but no 😞

Seems fitting they renamed it, Racist secessionists won't shut up about it and the superiority of the Confederates, Robert E. Lee & whites overall when the topic comes up. 🤮

Never felt that way about it and I’ve visited the battlefield in Virginia. It was a pivotal battle during the civil war but it wasn’t about celebrating the confederacy.
