OK. Why would the federal government mandate that a local school district teach sex ed, any more than they should ban the same?

Because kids deserve to learn about their bodies, the changes, risks, consent, protection, dangers, healthy relationships, etc in age appropriate ways. It's not a class about how to have sex. Many kids never learn about this at home or church, and parents control what doctors say, too. 😕

That happened to my mom in the 60s and her mom was a Navy nurse, ffs!! Thank goodness she had an older sister. 💔 Idk why people are so weird about regular human body things.

It still does! The cramping pain and the bleeding don’t immediately equate in a girl’s mind with sex and birth. They suggest fatal illness. Also, the little knob of a budding breast is, in fact, a scary lump!
