Purple Line BRT WV to Metrotown Burnaby city council already approved option 1 in Jan 2022, once at a closed meeting and once at an open meeting. see the report item 5.2 page 56 pub-burnaby.escribemeetings.com/FileStream.a...

We agree with Natalie! The BRT will bring 60,000 potential customers, let’s make sure they go along Hastings through Burnaby Heights instead of car dealerships. After all, transit users need food, not cars! πŸ˜‹ Tell TransLink not to swerve around the Heights: translinklistens.ca/... 2/2

A quote on a translucent blue circle: Desolate and barren Boundary road has glimspes of industrial buildings in the background. Golden hour in Burnaby Heights, people get off the bus and walk along the sidewalk next to local businesses.

If I was going to not serve Burnaby heights I would take Douglas Road and actually at least save some distance

I can't believe how half-baked this whole plan is. Nothing to be found about which stretches will have a dedicated bus lane. The only concrete thing I could find was that there won't be a bus lane on the Second Narrows, so it's hard to see how this could be effective.

Agree no swerving around Burnaby Heights. While I live closer to Lougheed Mall I never ever go there. I always go to The Heights to shop. The Heights needs more vibrancy than through buses. We need buses to bring people to shop. It’s a great place.

I live in Metrotown. I want to go to Burnaby Heights. I want to go to Brentwood. I never do, because I'm certainly not driving and parking, and the last time I took the bus, it was literally STUFFED FULL at BCIT, and it was awful. PLEASE MAKE IT EASY TRANSLINK!

CC TransLink, the mayor and ALL city councillors on your concern. The city is THE worst in completely failing to build a safe, direct and comfortable route from Metrotown to Brentwood. We do get The Mayors Bridge coming soon. πŸ€ͺ $9.2m. What a waste. Just like the Willingdon Linear Sidewalk. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

I can't wait to see Willingdon with two lanes reserved for BRT. It's gonna be GREAT. I'm gonna go bathe in motorist tears.

You gonna get me started on that fucking bridge. I frequent that Freeway Trail on the North side of it, and hands down fucking bet I will use that bridge as much as anyone in Burnaby, and I still think it's a waste.

If I am right, there is some chatter between the great minds of the lower mainland are talking about a skytrain-type addition from the NS to Burnaby. Imagine that?! Bridge and tunnel.
