Every once in awhile I answer a spam call. Always the same - do I wanna sell my home? I'm fortunate, as a result of a divorce (!) I had to buy a home at that time. My mortgage is 1/3 of what my kids pay for rent. Not a brag, it's sad...

Yes..it is. If I had to pay rent now I'd be living in my car. I feel for the kids so much. At least we had a chance...they do not.

The rents are outrageous in our neighborhood too. The corporate landlords have sucked all of the equity out of the homes, vampire squid style, and passed the higher payments + a hefty profit onto the renters and driven up property taxes to boot. They've reaped all rewards and outsourced all the harm
