Does it have an sticker for Canandain Food Inspection? [Sorry for ignorance, I live in the US. Taylor Farms does have a Canadian distribution system-- would assume subject to Canadian food laws]

Thanks, I did not know this, although I’m not sure E. coli in lettuce would be inspected/detected. I’ll have to look into it further - hopefully before the salad’s expiry date! I’ve reduced buying US goods considerably. The only thing difficult to get from elsewhere are veggies.

Lettuces grown in hot houses/hydroponically *typically have less chance of contamination. *not 100% full proof, but good rule of thumb.

I’ll look further. I haven’t seen hot house lettuce in edmonton, at least not romaine. I really like bagged salads because I’m lazy but guess I’ll have to find hot house veggies and do my own chopping. Not a big problem in today’s upside down world.
