Quick update on Covid levels in England - the newest variants are dominant here but are NOT causing a significant (or barely any) wave of infections. This is good news! christinapagel.substack.com/p/covid-upda... 1/2

Seems to be quite a few people around here (South Oxfordshire) had it in the last couple of weeks including myself, certainly more than the last year or so.

This seems encouraging although even so-called 'mild' infections can still have dangerous sequelae, especially when they occur repeatedly. Due to JCVI's incredibly limited provision this year I had to pay for my Comirnaty KP.2 booster in June. But I don't regret it at all.

That’s good! There’s been a spate this week of very odd, short lasting somethings. At home life and at work. Fever, nausea, sore throat are some of the symptoms (but not together) then gone 2 days later. Not saying it’s def Covid but it’s odd!

I’ve had those symptoms for several days and have tested positive 🙁.

I remain a bit skeptical that the infections aren't "out there" but suspect people aren't testing for COVID so they go unreported. Milder illness is a plus, for sure, but I still have concern about LC in the future for many.

The Scottish wastewater levels are very low at the moment. I suspect an autumn wave....

Wastewater testing here is minimal at best. It seems that "head in the sand" is the way our public health units are proceeding.
