Both my mother and my partner's mother are planning to attend protests in red states tomorrow, and for both of them it will be the first protest they have ever attended.

Me too!!! Excited about my first protest!
That's so exciting!
Good to go from postcard writing (useless if not counterproductive) to something more active.
Yep, I live in a swing state so well do I know. Post card writing was about people managing their own stress more than it was about convincing people getting bombarded by political messaging already. But the group that she wrote postcards with is carpooling to the protest, accountability is huge.
I should clarify, these are not apolitical women, my mom has door knocked for candidates & worked for her voting office. My mother-out-law wrote postcards to swing states for Kamala. But this is their first ever protest so you know these grandmas are FIRED UP.
Protect yourself & put everyone’s phones in airplane mode while at protest.

That's my hope! I just RSVPed for 5 tickets for an event my Congressman is holding Sunday on "Financial Literacy and Building Credit," gonna convince neighbors to join me to ask how we are expected to build financial futures when the economy is tanking and our jobs and funding are being threatened.
