Schools do not teach this. I grew up in the Northeast and was taught the Civil War was about slavery. That’s more than most. I was never taught about redlining, Black Wall St, the Tulsa Massacre, lynching, sun downing and so much more; the true horrors of our so-called land of the free. I’m ashamed.
