These figures are the proportion of the whole electorate, including don't-knows/don't-care/don't-vote. So, if you compare like with like: 2016: 37% of the electorate voted to leave, 34% to remain 2025: 34% (down 3%) want to stay out, 52% (up 18%) rejoin => Voters: 64.2% Rejoin, 35.8% stay out.

Unfortunately it's gonna have to get a lot more blanket 'rejoin' than that for anything to occur. I mean... Look at how this government are appeasing the far-right! How on Earth can anyone think they would EVER contemplate addressing this in even the most suggestive of manners. We have to change!

Clearly, loss of trade is beginning to register- compared with which no new trade deals (New Zealand, India etc) begin to make up for the deficit.

So why doesn’t ‘ the will of the people’ matter anymore? It’s all they banged on about from 2016-2019.

What’s fascinating is that a significant number of people would still vote leave. They are probably the same people who intend to vote reform

And, given the fptp system, they are likely to win, if reform is the largest party in many constituencies. Rejoiners are fragmented between Libdems, Greens, SNP, Plaid. Labour is a leave party but we'll vote it, if necessary, to keep Farage out.

It's prob fair to point out that the question "if it were held today, how would you vote?" is not necessarily the same as whether people would choose to rejoin or not. But encouraging nonetheless.

I always follow the numbers from the referendum: just a year later there was almost 4m less people voting for a Brexit option (they change their mind 🤷🏼‍♂️), two years after that barely an increase (with Alex)—it was never the will of the people, they people just hated David twat Cameron!
