I will have to agree with this, however due to who it’s quoted from it hard to know if he said it or if after his death his sister twisted his words to fit her ideas

Off topic- he and the actor from ‘stranger things’ could twins
Absolutely!
People are so fucking dumb
Way to many that hides their actions behind so called holy books has never read it...
If Christians actually read their holy book & do so without their pastor/priest's voice in their head they would notice the HUGE or as their Messiah pronounces it YUGE amount of contradictions in just the book of Genesis Never mind the simple fact Christians should be living out the New vs the Old
LOL!
That Jason Sudeikis really knows his shit.
Truth!
'In other words, the twats that pretend to read me'
💯💯💯
Trump and the Bible.
I believe white, Christian nationalism fits the quote.
Trump easily comes to mind. The one book is Mein Kampf.
To be reissued as Mein Krampf.
That would be the Bible.
Hello 🌺Margie,How are you doing..Am Bruce I will be glad to hear from you soon!
I thought that was an altered image of David Harbour. There's you guys to play him in a bio pic film.
I thought the same thing and even posted a gif lololol
I thought he was pretty good as Hellboy. Its was a solid movie Shame it bombed. The next guy to do it was a stinker.
I love him in stranger things
Referencing Trump and his nightstand Hitler book.
You're talking about Trump and "Mein Kampf," right?
Amen.

Truth!!
This really captures the danger of dogma disguised as knowledge. A mind confined to a single perspective, no matter how “sacred,” is far more threatening than one exposed to countless ideas and willing to question them.
did he know Trump?
This guy's scary.
They say they read it, but it was without an open mind and without scrutiny. Prejudice is difficult when you inform yourself.
Was he talking about Trump? Oh hang on!!
Deep 🫢💭
Looks like Martin Mull
I read Nietzsche a lot, I don't think it's from him. Do you at least know the book where it's from or even the chapter ? Or if it's from a letter correspondence do you have the source ? Thanks by advance.
I don’t think he ever said this
Mein Kampf?
Never said it.
Hashtag Truth - Albert Einstein
"If you ever see a meme of a famous person with a seemingly profound quote that falls apart when you think about it for a second, they probably never said it." -Mark Twain.
lmao xD
And believes it is 'truth' without having to prove it
I thought that the hive had settled that false quote attribution a week ago? But stand by for a string of Bible/Christian haters to respond.
I certainly detest religion, but the quote is not a Friedrich Nietzsche quote. While the phrase is widely shared and attributed to him online, searches of his actual writings do not contain this statement. But yes, Christianity eats shit.
'Christianity eats shit.' Just as I predicted, the string extends. But you are an 'author' so I suppose respect is expected. Superb use of the English language; perhaps you should spend a little time reading the King James Bible and see how real writers employ it?
Gross. KJV is the most inaccurate and corrupt translation ever of those patriarchal fairytales. No wonder you're such a fool!
Abuse not required. Go away, and read eminent literary critic Harold Bloom on the KJV. You do claim to be a writer after all; of something other than harangues on social media perhaps?
I don’t know how to respond. Quoting Nietzsche to fight fascism is mind blowing. You realize Hitler, Mussolini used his writings to justify their authoritarian regimes.
Like everything else they twisted his words. Mostly due to his sisters revisionism after he died. Nietzsche's stated opinions were actually explicitly opposed to antisemitism and nationalism.
They also used Jesus, does that mean Jesus was a bad man?
And why Nietzsche should be blamed for that? 🤔 Please give the correct answer only.
It’s OK, there’s no evidence Nietzsche really said or wrote it.
Anyone with even a passing familiarity with Nietzsche would know that he rejected Nazism as just another slave morality. He fell out with Wagner over the latter's pro-Nazi views. It was his sister who was the fascist.
Depends on if the library is stocked to collections of spurious, misattributed quotations.
Great author. Decent politician
I hear fearing God is the beginning of wisdom though, might give that a thought or two.
No wisdom or should start with fear and no relationship should be held together with it either
The phrase "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom" means that having a deep respect and reverence for God is the foundation for gaining true wisdom and understanding in life.
And this claim is made by what authority?
The Bible, Proverbs 9:10. Let me guess, you don't recognize that authority? Before you do, think what that says about your level of wisdom. :)
So what I’m hearing is that you want to belittle me, but you also want me to tell you how great and absolute your god is? If I was feeling meek and belittled, what would my approval be worth to you?
I have it on higher authority than you that you are wrong.
"Everyone should be afraid of f@cktards on social media posting AI images with phony quotations" - Mark Twain
Nietzsche actually did said: “Sometimes people don’t want to hear the truth because they don’t want their illusions destroy”. This is true for the GOP and their 75 million brain dead admirers.
I had a thought the other day about how Nietzsche would react to today's world. People think of him as the nihilist guy but I think his main messaging was more about acknowledging nihilism and how that affects our society. So how would he process the nihilist landscape that is the modern world?
Today’s world only differs from the evolution of technology and a wider view of humanity. Quotes from some century+ ago may still be valid if they are looked at in today’s perspective. Case in point is the non-existing quote in this post although Nietzsche made many which would apply today.
That's fear in Nietzsche’s eyes.
The quote is anononymous.
Man will never be free until the last king is strangled with the entrails of the last priest. - Denis Diderot
And holds it upside down.
I never noticed (until now) FN looks like a mustachioed pissed off Adam Conover.
Omg yes
Nietzsche has lit criticisms of narrow-mindedness, of Christianity etc. So why make up fake, shallow quotes to post instead?
