Good news is they were only able to collect those tarrifs because they argued in court that if they were found to be illegal, they could just refund everyone. Now they're arguing to the Supreme Court that paying everyone back would be economy destructive. you can't make this shit up.
They can pay back businesses, but the consumers will never get theirs back.
I'm just telling you what doj told a judge when that judge was considering an injunction on the tariffs in the face of that lawsuit. "They straight told that judge, it's ok, just let us keep collecting them. It's no big deal if you find it to be illegal, we can always refund everyone"
