i think i was too young to pay attention to if they were cool when they first came out, i only heard jumper on the radio and loved it! but i think that first self titled is i think widely understood to be a masterpiece by younger current bands
I was 21 when it came out and they were mostly viewed as cringe initially, it took a little while and then they developed a big following in indie world
Yo, actually, Matchbox 20 has some epic songs. "You Won't Be Mine" is heartbreakingly good.
