He was instrumental in civil rights reforms in Michigan and fought vehemently against the goldwater takeover of his party. But no, he doesn’t meet the standards of the high priests of anti racism, circa 2025

He was perfectly happy to give them jobs on earth while denying them the ability to be fully Mormon and experience the afterlife. And again, I suggest reading up on their teachings about black people, this is not a 2025 standard they were violating

How so? How familiar are you with their teachings on black people from that era? And the main point is that the only reason we give them a pass is because it’s a religious belief. But anything can be a religious belief, it’s not a trump card
