airports are fine. I think Heathrow's terminals are nice but getting around Heathrow sucks ass. if an airport for any reason makes you get on non-tram transportation to get from one place to another it is getting a thumbs down. that includes bus from gate to plane.
every time i've connected home through frankfurt they stick me in a terminal that has like one pretzel wagon and nothing else to eat
I can’t remember which airport it is, I think maybe New Jersey, that makes you get on a wild APC-looking thing that goes tear-assing across runways to get to some gates. It ultimately was fine, but the thing looked like something out of Mad Max.
Heathrow is the only place I've been where you might here, "You're all set, your flight is at gate 107." And then has signs along the way telling you how much farther you have to walk.
yeah a lot of european airports have GO TO GATE and a walk time estimate, which is great. they also dont tell you your gate until you need to get there, which is not great.
When I connected through there to get to Manchester, I feel like I walked through three different terminals, eight different hallways, and was sure I was going the wrong way at least three times.
Dallas is awful because you have to take like a 15-minute bus ride from the terminal to get to the rental car hub. It sucks ass

and if you want to take the DART train from the airport, the signage fucking sucks!! It was telling me to leave the airport and i still needed to walk like 4 terminals down to get on da train!

Heathrow and Charles de Gaulle are on my "do not connect through" list. I hate both of those places.
thankfully havent connected through CdG - just landed and left through it. we took the train to Nice once. that was cool.
