i'm depressed
taking me back to the Lambert era
is there a point at which we should start to worry that Unai’s whole deal has a shelf life
maybe. but i also feel like if he left we'd just sink
I also think he cannot break down 5 at the back so starting against 2 teams who do that doesn’t help. But also be better, Unai.
fuck us
Sorry I was busy baking cookies to keep me from accidentally watching the game. I think Unai’s thing definitely has a shelf-life and without the ability to freshen things up, this happens. I also think that we wouldn’t have gotten anywhere near where we are without him so that’s the deal I guess.
I’d be more concerned if he was able to get the signings he wanted and still looked this bad. I might be in the minority here, but I think he’s massively overachieved with this roster the past two seasons.
yeah but that's all part of it. feels like the air around the place is rotten.
feels like everyone has kind realized that without some kind of massive change in revenue that they’ve gone about as far as they possibly can
part of it is the realization that the rules prevent us from breaking through that ceiling. so what's the point?
yeah it’s so demoralizing for me, I can’t imagine what it’s like for the staff
Hopefully the turnaround and CL run keeps increasing the revenue. I think there’s spending middle ground we can find that’s somewhere between the big 6 and the rest of the league. Then you hope to find an edge in the small margins somewhere.
I really wish we could redo the summer window last year. I like Onana but I’d much rather have Barrenechea and Diaby in this squad. Hopefully the Martinez fee can get us a couple more in before the window shuts.
