Yep, you’ve missed the point entirely. It’s ok. Not everyone gets it.

You argue that because of US meddling in foreign regimes in the past, it should be better at preventing a coup on its own soil I argue that meddling is exactly why this coup is happening now, exactly why it isn't being prevented Am I misunderstanding something?
I just don’t understand why they can seem to prevent fascism from happening around the world but seem incapable of stopping it on our own soil. How is that possible?
When? Fascism was a popular ideology in the US before Pearl Harbour. They wanted to stay out of the war until then. And after that? It's been decades of violent imperialism. All that has changed is that the imperialism has come back to home soil. WW2 ended 80 years ago
Sorry but you’re off base. I mean, in the 70s (only 29 years after Hitler) Nixon’s own party demanded he resign or be impeached. The US has served to dismantle dictatorships and that is exactly what the country has now. How was it not ok for Hitler but perfectly ok for trump?
On local soil maybe. In Latin America, the Middle East, North Africa, and SEA the US was funding, arming, and training groups to install dictatorships. Decades of complacency are why it's happening in your own country now. Your government is applying lessons they learnt toppling other nations
Can’t say you’re wrong.
