Campaign donations and their enforcement was a mess before The Federal Elections Committee Act of 1971 (Nixon). There was no oversight and no one enforced the rules on the books. Congress met 323 days in 1972, now 250? Why? They go home to raise more money.

We should force them to work the same number of days/hours as any person who works an hourly wage job.

SCOTUS ruled $$$$$$=speech and is protected by the first amendment which says “Congress shall make *no* law.” An amendment that is unique in the world in that it places an absolute prohibition.

We have this in Canada. In our last election a candidate was caught (then excluded from the race) after receiving a lot of support from several people in one family. Elon has a lot of kids who could each make a donation... hopefully their laws protect against this sort of thing.
