Counter argument: the existing building industry is operating below capacity right now. Why not put them back to work in the short term?

I don’t see that as counter to what I’m saying, I am just speaking to the need for regulatory alignment to enable this kind of construction - but you’re absolutely correct that now is the ideal time to redeploy labour. Folks have been saying we don’t have enough for years and now … stars align

The problem is failures poster child = 3P. That’s where Carney is going to go. He should hire the best engineers architects and builders to create its own department. Ownership of projects at scale. Hubs in each province able to build single, town, multiplex and larger scale apartment buildings
