cleared the desk top to re-install my workstation. So now i'm mostly back to my normal self: - wide screen - clicky keyboard - ergo chair - custom desk I just hope the muse keeps showing up. (The Muse:

Flipped the screen on it's side for tall and narrow - theoretically great for long texts - but noped out after an hour, back to W I D E screen. I'll get used to it again by tomorrow
to me the vertical only makes sense if youre actually a programmer who wants to be able to see function headers while writing subroutines/libraires- as a noodle making spaghetti aficionado it isn't appealing my code workflow either!
I really appreciated it as coder too. My editor had a split screen function so everything was easy to keep in view. As a prose writer, it's not quite as useful, especially since neither of my text editors have the split screen function. So I have to open 2 copies/tabs and put them side by side.
But I admit that now I use a table form to outline my fics, so I open the table in the other screen. Wish my characters would read the fucking outline, though...
um akshually i use linux so everything can tile based on the edge of the monitor BWHAHAHAHA mostly teasing but it is nice to be able to turn my monitors into panels of any combination
I'm back on Linux (Mint/Cinnamon), but not pushing it too much. i'll just do what I described.

10 years ago, I was working my way to Manjaro, but IRL work (windows only), and gaming (ESO) and then /burnout/ and I was out for so many years... but ai and the return to a simpler setup had me switching back to Linux. Saved this laptop!
