This desire is Christian Nationalists to hasten the end times is so bizarre. They live in a strange bubble where they believe destroying the US will bring about the rapture, but they seem to forget the rest of the world isn't participating in their weird, destructive scheme.
And even if they do manage to bring about the rapture, I dont think it's going to end for them the way they're planning. They are stupid.
That's what I've been thinking. Why don't they realize that causing death and misery goes against everything they supposedly believe in? Or is it that 6 days of sin are erased by going to church on the 7th (or pretending to go)?
I think that's what they think. Anything goes as long as you're in church on Sunday. If you tithe, you're forgiven all your sins for the week.
I have to admit, that attitude would simplify things. Lie, cheat and steal Monday-Saturday, beg forgiveness on Sunday. Although autocorrect changed "forgiveness" to "curries," and I might be willing to beg for a good curry one a week.
