One thing I'm a little obsessed about is video game treasure chests. Love me a video game with a cute or strangely designed treasure chest. So I decided to compile a thread of treasure chests in games I played for no reason. Maybe just to keep a record of them, I guess.

Game: Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon Starting off with one of my fave games. The chests have a lovely star design and colors that work well with one another. I like the way it tapers from the huge cover to the tiny legs at the bottom. I'd love a small version of the rare treasure box.

A normal treasure chest in the in-game cutscene, with its navy blue body with an almost eerie light blue-colored designs all over it. It lacks visible handles on the sides, but the pale golden metal frame at the top and bottom accent it well. There are 4-pointed star designs where the lock should be and decorating the top of the box. Its design is a little top-heavy which tapers down into four pointy legs on its four corners. When opened, the chest lining seems to be an empty blue, similarly colored to the body but lacking any glowing lines. The decorations vary depending on how valuable the item is inside. For rarer items, the chest gains little In some parts of the game, the chests vary by having a pinkish body color while having bright red metal frames holding it together. I can't remember why this one is specifically reddish in palette.

Game: Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars I didn't like the art style difference between the items and the character/enemy art in this game but it's a very solid chest design with eye-catching red and gold. One enemy, the Bizarrock, is a fun treasure foe that can become 2 enemy types or loot.

A treasure chest in the game with a red body, gold corner protectors on both the lid and bottom, a cat paw-like decorative strip of metal in the middle, and a gold clasp with gold lock. The characters to the side are presented in a pixel style because of a DLC skin. A Bizarrock in its base, unexploded form. It's almost like a rocky egg with an eye and a small horn. It can either become Fearrock, an Aquarock, or a treasure. A Bizarrock with an Aquarock inside of it that popped out. It looks like an ethereal blue serpent or eel made of water with droplets floating around it. Part of its body is still hidden in the rock. A Bizarrock that turns out to have treasure inside. The

Game: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night A little basic in design, but it fits the world of Bloodstained well with its emblem like lock, bright colors, and dark stripes that help it pop from the shady or fancy backgrounds. There seem to be three variants: forest green, icy blue, and regal red.

One variant of the Bloodstained treasure chest, it has an icy blue base, with a pale, white metal making up the metal frame of the box. No visible handles on the sides, though there is a big hunk of metal where the cover and body meet. It has three dark stripes, a thick middle stripe framed by two thinner ones, seen from the front and one in the sides. This variant of the treasure chest is a deep forest or hunter green with a silvery grey metal frame. There is only one stripe on the box when viewed from the front. Probably one of the more fancier chest variants, with a piercing red color and golden metal frame. It has similar 3 stripes design to the ice blue variant but has horizontal lines that form a sort of cross shape with the thinner side lines. The sides appear to have three lines and a cross-like horizontal line as well. There seems to be no visible pattern or even any lining on the inside of any of the treasure chests.
