Having been there multiple times as a tourist, there’s no way in hell to be fiscally responsible and attempt to retrofit this anachronistic joke of a modern prison. Political theater at its most ridiculous.🤬🤬🤬

I was coming here to make that same remark. We visited Alcatraz several years ago, I’m sure deterioration has happened in the meantime. The conditions were horrendous then. There’s no way they can reopen it and even pretend to be fiscally responsible.

Absolutely not! That’s not what I was trying to imply. They are both terrible, but in different ways. If anything, Alcatraz Island was more humane.
