cities should be FUN and SILLY because people who live in cities like and deserve to have FUN and be SILLY and our politicians should be bending over backwards to make cities not only safe and healthy and affordable but FUN and SILLY

My favourite bit of this is him cleaning up the crisps at the end. Good lad.
cuomo strikes me as a litterbug honestly. he litters his damn car all over the place parking illegally constantly, that's the sort of fella who throws a sodapop can in the lake when he's done with it
Is that the same type of chips that the bribe was found in?
if everybody is in a shitty mood all the time everybody is gonna act shitty and then you'll have a shitty city, simple as
I watched this earlier and it hit me like a brick. Yeah, you know what? NYC should be fun as fuck for everybody who visits and lives there. When did it become so soul-sucking? There's no reason for it.
Did you see that jerk shaming Councilor Morillo for participating in the silly what-would-your-walk-on-music-be piece Alex Z put together bc “people are being kidnapped off the street this is no time for human joy!!!!” Some people are tar pits, we gotta have a good time ever if we’re gonna make it
oh for goodness sakes. god forbid women listen to music
And as always, so weird how certain councilors get these critiques more than others. A real puzzler, that one
This is the main reason I can't leave the city and move somewhere rural. I'd like land and the ability to grow a lot of food, but I like silly and fun a lot more.
One of the things I enjoy about Corvallis is the balance between those things.
Currently my love of Portland outweighs my desire to grow lots of food.
Completely get that 😊 Portland is pretty great. I'd move back to the metro in a heartbeat
I also prefer being surrounded by more progressive natured people. My work has me interacting with plenty of right wing and mags types and quite frankly I don't want to live in a community with large numbers of them, which is inevitable in rural areas. I know not everyone is bad, but .....
Yeah, one of the things I appreciate about Benton County is that it's very blue and full of old hippies out in the country
We’re dying to move to corvallis. From boise idaho🙄 but its going to be a few years until we’re free to do so. Until then we’ll come visit :)
This man is the future of America.
damn the future of america is handsome as hell
We deserve it. Because the present of America is a rotting heap of orange flesh.
The jazzy vamping in the background of all of his media really paints him as the fun and silly candidate. It's a good choice.
1000% agree! Also I take this as Mamdani and his team know they're so far in the lead and so well liked in the city that they can just try silly stuff and see how it goes. Which is also really nice!
“Not a wad of cash.” 😂
My city Library system has a summer-long scavenger hunt that EVERYONE plays across the whole town. It makes the city a bit more whimsical. We also have "fairy doors" everywhere. Why? Because it's silly.
A few years back, we were checking out a neighborhood yard sale in SE Portland. One home had a "stick library" set up out front for the dogs out on walks w/their humans. "Take a stick, leave a stick." Cracked me up! These are my kinds of people, and I hope to always be among them. 🥰
Dude has got game. You’re so lucky to have a choice like that 🤓
Totally agree. This is why I live in Newcastle
