The same can be said with psychological terms…narcissist. Psychopath. Borderline. When overused, they loose their meaning and there’s nothing else to replace them with.

They don't lose their meaning to everyone. Zoning out because the verbiage triggers you doesn't mean the person isn't a psychopath etc... Seems more the repetitiveness of doomscrolling makes certain words seem overused. Like when a president is a psycho. And has a cult.

💯 Us ordinary folk mix sociopath/psychopath up all the time. Pretty sure we’d be fairly accurate with Trump/narcissist though.
