One of the scariest things about our current political and media environment is that I'm not sure it will make a difference if babies start dying more often. People won't believe it or won't care.

It doesn't seem to make a difference if kids are killed in mass shootings or in natural disasters, so why would some dead kids bother some politicians? One dead billionaire suffering a death not due to natural causes is a tragedy, but any of the unwashed masses? Meh!

Yep and MAGA didn't care when tens of thousands died unnecessarily from COVID. Death is a price worth paying to preserve their partisan identity.
