So I’m a dumbass and decided to try a new trail this afternoon that was longer than I thought and ended up having to hike down the mountain in the dark. Anyway it was fun and I survived 😁

Around Sydney, the tracks start on the ridges and go down into the valleys. I’ve also been caught by tracks being more longer or difficult than expected. Walking up out of the valley in the dark is also not fun. Our tracks are just gaps in the vegetation, so not easy to follow.

Always wear bright or fluoro colours when hiking - you are easier to spot if you need rescuing. Glad you made it back safely
