There are many reasons to dislike Merz, but this is a big one. Pre-election: UA will absolutely get the Taurus cruise missile. Post-election: it's complicated, takes a lot of training time and wouldn't change anything anyway... Imho the last gvmt was much more outspoken and active
No, only the Greens were pro-active within the former government. That frightened many conservative people.... Former chancellor Scholz was sitting endlessly on the fence and was not courageous enough to support Ukraine the way it needed to be supported. In this case, Merz is an improvement.

In this specific "Taurus" case, Scholz & Merz are twins... Idle to the end, trying to sit it out and already got a speech prepared for when/if any journalist ever gonna ask them the "by the way,..." question. Merz promised it pre-election and hasn't done anything yet, right?
