Hozier calls for a peace process in Palestine and gets booted off the BBC coverage of the Reading and Leeds festivals. Is that how the BBC reacted when U2 and Ash and co were supporting the peace process in Northern Ireland?

Hozier said the same thing during Bluesfest in Ottawa, Canada, and 30,000 of us gave him a standing ovation.
Hozier is one of the good ones, and I love that he's taking that message around the world.
Sadly, some of the most popular music/pop stars today in many genres haven't said a word about Gaza. They are afraid of derailing their careers and losing money/fame.
The beeb ain't what it used to be.
Yes, it was. Shit, they were quite happy to laughably overdub Adams and McGuiness. The British Noncecasting Corporation has always been a mouthpiece of the English Establishment
The BBC is dead buried in its own nepotism. Good luck to them it will be like water when they sell it off. Channel 4 is much more important to the UK with regards content superior in every facet of its content
I thought U2 did a fairly good job of criticizing both Israel and Gaza in their recent press release. Edge was the one out of control but that was a separate opinion.
Maybe re-read it. Bono basically just apologised for Israel and blamed Hamas… it was embarrassing quite frankly
Don’t bother, she’s a pro-Israel genocide supporter 🤮
Yes. But he was just stating fact.
I mean, I don't know. I was 9. I wasn't really caught up on my media censorship, I just remember at that time that peace processes were considered good.
'Sod off Bono with your Vote Yes shenanigans' didn't seem to be the vibe.
I don't think the Irish wanted to exterminate the English. The Palestinian militant groups definitely want to exterminate the Jews. And homosexuals. And they want to subjugate women. Maybe that's why it's not treated the same as the Irish cause.
The BBC is in a very strange place at the moment.
BBC is twinned with the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation. One and the same and complicit in every respect.
The BBC banned Paul McCartney's single "Give Ireland Back to the Irish" back in 1972, so there's that.
Are used to go to BBC for impartial news coverage. Sad to see how they have drifted.
