In a press release Jack Daniels was whining that their profits and Canadian consumers are being hurt by our own boycott. They still don't get. They say sales dropped 62%. C'mon people we can do better than that. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Poor babies, it is like they want to be bully us and then have us thank them while still buying their crap. Sorry, until.our media and brains refuse to do our own homework we are smarter than your big, beautiful United States, that only Trump can run. All the power to you, leave us alone
Fuck Jack Daniels... Crown Royal was always better....
Except. They aren't much better 🙄
True. Still can show them support though.
It’s not even a good whiskey. Let’s get it to 100% drop in sales.
How, for the love of God(dess) would an absence of Jack Daniels cause anything resembling harm 🤯
Allllllbberrrrrrrrrtttaaa!
They should be whining to their own government .
62% are rookie numbers! Canada can get that percentage higher! I believe in you, Canada!! Signed - an American
of course, out in Alaberta, DONielle has lifted the ban on US booze, to try to appease her american masters.
And so did her lap dog Moe in Sask. Canadian solidarity 🙄🙄
62% drop is disappointing. Needs to be higher
The Best part is, it takes about 30 days to form a habit. Nobody is even missing it anymore.
Absolutely- we can do much better than that!
Well, sir, Alberta and Sask might have something to do with that
If Moe and Smith both stopped drinking it sales would plummet.
Hahaha
Seriously. One of Moe's little speeches the other day...i normally don't listen but had autoplay on, you could hear him slurring his words. Killing someone while drunk doesn't seem to have affected him any. As for Smith, makeup can only cover so much oceanstaterecovery.org/spot-alcohol...
After Jack Daniels started kissing trumps ass publicly, I quit but their products all together. Oh I also live in the USA. Piss off JD. I’ll buy Crown from here on out.
Wine purchases from California are down by more than that. Sad to see a big blue state suffer but oh well.
We just have to tell them that we all became member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Good job, Canadians. Bankrupt them please.
🇨🇦 go Canada 🍁
Sobriety rules!
These whiskey makers should be whining to our president down here, not to Canada. I mean, my country (for reasons still lost on me) started this trade war. Canadians have every right to stick it to us and boycott my country.
How are Canadian consumers being hurt, exactly? I don't find buying a different brand all that difficult.
Explaining the USA/CAN 51st state/tariff war to a 5 year old: Sweetie, Canada and USA were friends, but USA's Daddy was mean, scaring Canada to get his way. So, Canada said, "No more!" and left to play with kind friends. USA and USA’s Daddy pretend it’s fine, but Canada’s happier now.
Klobber time. JD, Crown, We can make our own, buy our own, and sip our own. IMO; if it from the states or owned by mericans, pull it from every shelf.
Isn't it just the bottling of the liquor that is leaving, which is produced in Canada?
When Canada first announced its boycott of Jack Daniels, the company said Canada only represented 10% of sales and the impact was gonna be "negligible."
Fck jack Daniels. We stopped buying anything labeled as a US product. My wife loves bourbon, but she loves her country more. I'm good with Canadian craft beers as a beer lover. Fuck usa
I honestly don’t think many Americans will ever get it. And yes, we shouldn’t be buying any American products including booze.
That number makes no sense. If only Alta and Sask are buying American booze, then the people in those two provinces would have had to quadruple their bourbon consumption (approximately). They make up 11.9% of the population of Canada but now account for almost 40% of pre-tariff consumption? Hmmm.
India may join the US boycott www.newsweek.com/india-boycot...
United Statesian here. You can do better than that. And I hope you do.
Keep up the pressure. Please.
How are Canadian consumers being hurt by choosing not to drink American alcohol? 😂
Wasn't that a crazy comment? He's telling us that we need our JD but stupid government is messing it up. Typical Ugly American stuff.
Exactly.
They must really believe their hype that they are the best. Silly people.
How many things are they past the 26th in the world now? Think it's a long list.
They are the rich kids, like Trump, who think having money is enough, and they can be a total dick and everyone will still love them then wonder why they have no friends and think its everyone else that has a problem.
They probably think they're the only country that makes alcohol. We poor frozen northerners need their alcohol to stay warm in our igloos & shacks.
😂
That's the american mindset.
simple....
Switching to Nikka Coffey Grain from Japan has skyrocketed my Old Fashioned game, so… not?

Bwahahahahaha
Dear Canadians. Never drink anything that’s spelt (spelled for Americans) wrong. It’s whiskey and we developed it. Accept no substitutes 🇮🇪
That’s what they’re for packing a sexual predator who wants to destroy everything. I hope they go bankrupt. 67% is not near enough.
Damn all this disposable income I have by buying Canadian.
I prefer Barnburner whisky now, Canadian and made in my hometown. 🇨🇦
Well if you voted for it you deserve it See how that works
But I thought the Canadian market wasn't a big deal and only 10% of their profits... wasn't that what they were saying in the first weeks of our boycott?
😂💪🇨🇦👋
Always, if given the choice, make being stupid hurt. Make it debilitating.
Are the makers of Crown Royal are closing a Ontario bottling facility and moving it to the US? If so there should be an outcry.
They are moving CDN production to Quebec, US bound product to the US, from what I've read.
They are now on my banned list…
They are
Gimli MB still main plant. Quebec for bottling domestic and non-US exports. A new bottling plant in US so they can sell to US market as well/avoid tariffs.
And 160 Canadians will lose their jobs because of this decision. 160 families put in peril.
Canadians have made the personal decision to boycott US products/produce. The US trying to change our behaviour by telling us that our personal choices are hurting us is gaslighting. Maybe they should go after their culprit government instead of the victims.
I question the accuracy of their sales drop figure. I don't trust them to be upfront or honest about it. I think we are doing better.
So glad to see this, especially since Jack Daniels is made in MAGAland.
Who’s buying that 💩? Happy @davidebybc.bsky.social didn’t cave and put it back on the shelves.
Really who drinks Jack Daniels? Repulsive.
I thought Americans were all about the free market.
Jack Daniels can complain to trump if they don't like the tarrifs.
Guess who the distillery workers voted for?
Hard to feel sorry for people who vote themselves out of business.
US alcohol is available in Alberta, Saskatchewan, NYT, and Yukon, which account for less than 16% of the population, and yet consumption of Jack Daniels remains at 38% of last year. Interesting. Either some heavy drinking or some regulation dodging is going on.
I'm not absolutely "Canadian only", I am however "No American", so I'll stick with my Jameson! Sine Metu!
Glad that there are still no U.S. products in our liquor stores in Manitoba. I hope it stays that way until the regime to the south of us comes to an unglorious end...
Keep going Canada!🇨🇦
Just wait to see what we do to Diageo AKA Crown Royal
✅Kamala won ❌Cheato cheated 🚫He rigged the 2024 election🚫 Just like in TEXAS BECAUSE HES IN THE FILES EPSTEIN! RIGGING! NEW ELECTIONS NOW! ✅NO CITIZENS UNITED ✅A PAID HOLIDAY 🚩NEW ELECTIONS NOW! 🚩NEW ELECTIONS NOW! AMERICA WILL BE BACK. TERMINATE THE TERM!
JD is a drink for the desperate at the best of times. They have to mix it with Coke to choke it down.
I've tasted Jack Daniels. Believe me, you're not being hurt by skipping it.
Crown Royal > Jack Daniels
Alberta Premium > Crown and JD
So many distilleries have popped up in Calgary in the last few years that deserve support instead of giant Diageo. I’ll stick to water.
Except that Crown Royal is moving its bottling to the US. Still true but damnit
www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGfG...
Not one drop of bourbon will pass these lips ever again.
They can solve their problem by not voting for Republicans in the next election.
Didn't traitor Smith and follower Moe place U.S. alcohol back on their shelves? Call them out loud and clear again, Charlie!MAGA HAS NO HOME IN CANADA!
Try a good Scotch or even Irish Whiskey and you'll never want to drink that crap bourbon ever again.
Fuck Jack Daniel's and Crown Royal. Drink beer🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 As a Saskatchewanian, I am sickened by Moe and Smith. We need to vote these LOSERS out!
“EVERY CHECKOUT IS A VOTE”
I'm still baffled as to how boycotting Jack Daniels and other US spirits is hurting Canadian consumers. Canadian consumers have plenty of other great choices.
It probably would have been higher if Alberta and Saskatchewan hadn’t put US alcohol back on the shelves!
They don’t need to buy it but we know where the stand.
I hear many aren’t buying. There’s hope for The West.
I was at a Superstore in Alberta last weekend, where there were dozens of beautiful packs of fresh strawberries from the USA on the clearance shelves for 30% off. No one was buyimg them.
Such great news! Of course, was they were sold, Americans didn’t care - stores Ned to stop ordering this shit.
****once they were sold…. 😮💨
Feed them to the hogs.
On sale at Safeway in BC this week. They've even jacked up the price of BC grown berries to make the USA berries more appealing. Displays are full. Only traitors are buying.
That is outrageous!
I don’t care if tariffs are lifted. I’m continuing my personal boycotts where possible . His 51st bullshit rhetoric hasn’t disappeared.
I’m with ya! This is a long, long way from over. My DNA is 100% UEL and my soul remembers.
i think i have successfully banished all american goods from my grocery (that's a quaint old word!) and other shopping. took research and tough questions, and not accepting canadian flags slapped on shelved products. my boycott is personal and forever.
Same. The people in our household hold grudges to ANYONE who causes distress or financial harm, or supports those who cause harm,we don't care who they are or their reasons, doesn't matter if they have "regret" + try to "compromise", with us, it's a FOREVER thing. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Alberta Springs - made in Calgary - one of the best sipping whiskeys, in the world.!
One place that you're guaranteed to hear some corporate bullshit and spin is on a quarterly earnings call. Fuck them.
fuckem...
I imagine sales will rise slightly now that Alberta and Saskatchewan have capitulated. #BuyCanadian
Jack Daniels is terrible Whiskey anyway. I'd much rather buy a nice Canadian Rye Whiskey, a really great Single Malt Scotch, a nice Irish Whisky or a beautiful Japanese Whisky anyway... 😡
This started as a JD thread, but there are also Diageo mentions. Diageo-owned distilleries produce 40 per cent of all Scotch whisky with over 24 brands, such as Johnnie Walker, J&B and Buchanan's. Its brands outside whisky include Guinness, Smirnoff, Baileys, Captain Morgan, Tanqueray and Gordon's.
Lagavulin and Talisker were the only scotch single malts. JW is barely.
Above snipped from Wikipedia - something to consider in light of the news out of Walkerville.
Er, news out of Amherstburg - my mistake.
Yeah but i bet they're Trump supporters through and through. They all voted for him to rid the country of "illegal immigrants" and now they find their source of cheap labour has gone and the rest of the world hates you. Explain that to your shareholders
Hilarious the Maga can go work in the fields drinking Jack Daniel until they finally get the finding out part
They fucked around, theyre finding out. Good.
Despite Quebec's unique liquor regulations to ban American liquor, many grocery stores continue to stock Jack Daniel's and other American spirits. My local IGA Tradition is overwhelmingly stocked with American products (80%), leaving only 20% for Canadian goods. Where's the Liquor Control Board?
And where’s the premier? If it’s regulated he should enforce it. The bigger grocery stores in Alberta still try to bs us with Canadian flags on US products too. And don’t get me started about our American premier Danielle Smith.
😆
When did Quebec start selling hard liquor outside the SAQ???
It's been over 10 years when they first started selling hard liquor at Tradition stores around here. I know that the stores who do sell it has to be certain distant from a SAQ to be able to sell hard liquor.
Crown Royal is about to learn the same lesson.
Good hope they go out of business
Now I wish I drank so I could add to the boycott.
Starve the Nazi regime of funds for its war chest and ICEstapo.
Why would anyone drink that hillbilly piss anyways ?
Marketing
I bet a bunch of Gen Z drink it because of that Tipsy song.
Irish whiskey is better
No doubt about that. 🍀
Crown Royal also wants boycotting.Diageo will cease operations at bottling facility in Amherstburg, ont. 2026, as it shifts some bottling volume to U.S.,company announces. The facility bottles Crown Royal products, will close in February in a move aimed at improving its North American supply chain
Clapping hands emoji.
I'm embarrassed for Jack Daniels. They've been a famous choice for bad boys and hard rockers for decades..... Now they are crying because mean old canada (lol) gives them the sads. Hahahahahah boo fucking hoo
Wiser’s Rye all the way. 👍 🇨🇦🏴🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
Canadians. Keep your Elbows UP! Americans have no clue who we are and what we stand for.
Losing Crown Royal plant in Amherstburg is not great.
Private liquor sellers are not inclined to do things "on principle for the common good" like government-controlled liquor stores can. This Trump crap is unprescedented, maybe unanticipated. A reason why provincial governments must NOT privatize liquor sales in Canada. Same with food supply mgmt.
Jack Daniels distillery is located in my state red TN. The small red town of Lynchburg where the distillery is located is beginning to feel the effects. Thank you Canada for your boycott!! Keep it up!!
We can do better.
I feel sorry for the workers who are affected by this. However, the owners can get fucking stuffed and I hope they go bankrupt
The workers probably vote R, too.
Voting R? Republican? Aren’t the workers Canadian? Confused…
True. They may have shot themselves in the foot but I can't be happy about fellow working class members losing their source of income
Well I'm happy enough for both of us. They voted for this buffoon to be their president.
Our actions do have consequences.
They didn’t mind voting to hurt others. Didn’t care if people lost food support, kids have school lunches, healthcare … they didn’t give an F! I’m grateful some get what they give. I could have told them, they wouldn’t have listened. So too bad. Hope they get the lesson.
Here is a helpful list of non-excluded things they own that folks should also stop buying in Ontario: Brown‑Forman also owns several internationally produced brands not affected by this U.S. ban. These may still be available in Ontario, subject to LCBO or specialty importers stocking them:
Scotch whiskies: • The GlenDronach • BenRiach • Glenglassaugh • Irish Whiskey: • Slane Tequila (Mexico): • Herradura • El Jimador • Rum (Venezuela): • Diplomático (acquired by Brown‑Forman in 2023) • Gin: • Fords Gin (U.K.) • Gin Mare (Spain) • Liqueur: • Chambord (France)
And when this madness is over, how many will buy it again?
You think the madness will be over in our lifetime? I hope so but I'm not betting on it.
I think so, but the damage inflicted on America and its institutions will take a long time to fix.
I am not hurting because of a lack of Jack Daniels. We need the shelf space for Canadian spirits.
Definitely have to make it more than a 62% drop! Not nearly high enough.
I am rather impressed that y'all drink THAT MUCH JD.
*drank but point taken 😂
Hah! 😂
Hit the road Jack, and don't you come back no more, no more, no more, no more
Jack's sales have dropped 100% in our household.
As have Woodford's Reserve in this household. Waiting for BC bourbon to appear on LCBO shelves. 🇨🇦
We've tried 3 Canadian 'bourbons' so far -- 2 from Okanokan and a third from somewhere else. Still not up to standard, I'm afraid. But I have rekindled my appreciation for Canadian and Irish whiskies.
Now if only I could spell Okanogan. 🙄
My question is, how can a country of 40m people destroy the liquor industry of a country of 450m people?
Have you ever noticed how Americans drink weak watered down alcohol? We don't. I highly doubt many bottles of JD will sell down there.
Even some of us in the US are boycotting liquors from KY. No more JD for me.
Agreed. We can’t let our foot off the pedal.
Anyways.
To my American 🇺🇸 friends: Please replace your government with one that understands business 🏦 and trade. This is beginning to get annoying for us as well as you.
What is your take on the Crown Royal situation?
Boycott them!
They should pull Crown Royal off the shelves as soon as they move production out of Canada
Im in the west of Ireland, JD was a fairly popular drink! Haven't served one in weeks! Therefore, our bar hasn't reordered any!
Happy to hear that Irish elbows are up!! Thank them please, with love from Canada, eh?🌹
Canadian consumers are NOT being hurt by this. There MANY other — and much better — options besides JD. The Scots, the Irish, the Japanese, and of course we Canadians all make better whiskies. #boycottfascism #elbowsup
Crown Royal boycott is on, too. www.cbc.ca/lite/story/1...
Fuckem
This is a perfect example of the American attitude and stupidity. Let Jack D, learn the hard way.
Boo hoo
Everyones starting to feel the pain here. Agent Orange, (Russian Asset) promised maga the world, but said they'd suffer on behalf of Make blah blah Again. Lets see how long it takes before they start fleeing the sinking ship, like the rats that they are.
Jack Daniel's distilleries are in a dry county in Kentucky. It seems to me, they started out on the wrong foot to begin with. 62% is guite a hit. Canada's done a great job boycotting.
