There isn’t only one kind of Nazi. Adding more specific information isn’t denying they’re Nazis, if you actually care about how to counter this type of radicalization that is growing and has resulted in a bunch of actual mass murders in multiple countries. Dumbing things down isn’t useful.

I don't see them as Nazis. I see them as brainrotted thugs that want to cause suffering for no other purpose, unlike the actual-factual Fascists we've currently got in office, who have clear white supremacist authoritarian state goals. But I've no problem with someone on bsky calling them Nazis.
I have terrible news about who made up the brownshirts
We're talking about a shooter that committed suicide immediately after the shooting, who primarily glorified mass-shooters that died either by suicide or in a hail of bullets right afterwards. I think a good case could be made that the average brownshirt was a thug that wanted CONTINUED power.
Again, I don't have a problem with anyone calling these guys Nazis. They certainly revel in the symbolism, and YES obviously there had to be some members of the SS so twisted that they didn't give a damn if they died so long as they got to hurt someone.
But I don't think it's helpful to DEMAND journalists call these shooters Nazis or Fascists. Not when we've got Stephen Miller and his goons occupying the highest offices, trying to create a White Supremacist Authoritarian State, and offering a $50,000 Join The Fascists signing bonus.
Going "Um, NPR did bad reporting by not calling these guys Nazis" is where I disagree.
