I understand the concerns about Kamala Harris' track record, and I absolutely did vote for her and encourage others to as well *once she was the nominee*, because I believed she would be better than Trump. I stand by that. We are not even through the 1st year of Trump's term, though.
Right now is NOT the time to settle. Right now is the time to make the Democrats understand that we don't want their Republican-Lite greaseball. Right now is when we compromise on *nothing*.
Right. Right now we fight Gruesome Newsom because we have options. If for whatever reason he becomes our only option, fight like hell to make sure he wins against genocidal fascists. Then, fight like hell to get him replaced with a person who actually values human life.
All I wanted from Newsome was redistricting California and I am likely getting that, his political instincts are not good, if his instincts were good he would have been doing YIMBY stuff hard-core years ago

No one likes those who challenge the status quo. It's a tale as old as time.
I just wish there wasn't as much racism involved. Mamdani's still preferable to many, more unsavoury DSA politicians, sad as it may be.
