Hate to tell you, there’s almost as many women gamers as there are men. Gaming isn’t the problem 🙄

Well it definitely doesn’t make them more interesting. And as far as I know, it doesn’t have the same deleterious effect on women.

Then you don’t know what you’re talking about. I think you’d be surprised at the gamers on here like Popehat and RadioFreeTom. People have a skewed and incorrect vision of what a gamer is. Gamers are the same as everyone else with a hobby. Good, bad and otherwise

Not gaming, no. I game and I have empathy toward others. It's doing nothing but gaming and expecting women to come to them.

You are correct, gaming is a symptom of a greater problem.

You are idiotic if you think gaming is a greater problem. Gaming is no different than watching TV or going to the movies or watching sports or any other hobby.

It’s not the problem but the algorithms for male gamers seeking connection can most definitely lead them to red pill and black pill groups who are deeply misogynistic, white supremacist, and extreme in their false narratives and conspiracies. Parents need to know.

I can see that, but if you (gosh you) were part of the gaming world you’d find that the gaming community is no different than any other community. The gaming community isn’t predominantly mysoginistic white supremacists though those people are certainly out there.

The gaming world is different because it’s predominantly online. Online connections don't eliminate the needs and benefits of IRL connection. When girls decided to create games that weren't celebrating sexist stereotypes, there was a backlash that spawned an alt right pipeline that still exists.

I’ve been part of the gaming community for 50 years and I’m also a lesbian. Absolutely everyone needs real life connections whether you’re a gamer or not. The vast majority of games aren’t sexist stereotypes, but I know the group you’re talking about. They are disgusting, but they aren’t t/majority

We don't need them to be a majority for them to be a problem. When I listened to the podcast Boys Like Me, one expert they interviewed explained that its only 10% of the guys participating in incep groups who actually get caught perpetrating violence in the real world, but as the group grows, …

I agree, it’s a problem. However, too many people present it as the problem is video games, and present the viewpoint that every gamer is a lazy loser who doesn’t work and lives in their mom’s basement.

Also, they vote. Their vote is misogynistic and racist.
