I am old enough to remember principled conservatives being the majority of the American right. Now, Trump maintains high approval rates amongst R,in spite of all the abuses against immigrants, etc. He has already poisoned the nation. You should be able to see it.
Trump is horrible, and that's why we need to defeat him. The same old Democratic Party will not do it, they got us here. You fully misunderstand the Trump movement and why he got elected, thats why you don't understand what I am saying. Were you surprised in November? I would bet so.
I am a Euro, my forecast counts for nothing. I don't have the pulse of the nation. One of my close friends, who is a leading US scientist, warned me that Trump was going to win. But now the parallels with prior fascistic descents into madness are there to be seen. Anne Applebaum sees them clearly.
