because people like to hate Disney. I mean.. they're a billion dollar corporation that does shitty things. but that's not enough. people like to make up their own reasons to hate Disney beyond what the company actually does.

My thing with Hexed is less that I think it'll be bad, I'm hoping it's really good... it's more I'm concerned about backlash.

I recall people saying that IF (2024) was ripping off Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends and that Wish (2023) pulled a lot of stuff from previous films (it was made to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the studio). I doubt sensible people will care about that sort of thing.
