But Musk is very vulnerable. His wealth would evaporate if: 1) Trump indicted him (and threw him in jail) for any of the illegal stuff he has been doing. Tesla stock would tank and the board would probably have to remove him as CEO. 2) Trump nationalized SpaceX.

Trump always had the leverage of potentially becoming President again. So he had institutional leverage. Tesla is a real company, but it's a meme stock, which means it's a bubble that could burst at any time. If the markets lose confidence in Musk, it's over for him there.
