Yes -- modeling & reinforcing prosocial behaviors can rewire the authoritarian brain, which innately lacks empathy, during critical developmental periods. If a jerk somehow decided to become a better person as an adult it's possible -- the brain is plastic -- but that rarely occurs in nature
