. NO. We are not launching nuclear fuel into space! For the same reason we can't launch our spent nuclear power reactor fuel into space and ship it to the sun for disposal. If the rocket launch fails, blows up, and sprays nuclear fuel all over and contaminating a huge area for hundreds of years!
