My grandson came home from school the other day. He just changed schools.. 8 years old.. my daughter had told him she would activate Apple Watch for calling when they moved. He’s not allowed to have a smart watch at school.. He said crying ‘But Mom, what if I get shot, how will you know?’😡😡😡

I know, I have been cycling between tears and clenched fists ever since she told me.. He’s eight.. 😡😡

Speaking of grandkids-I’ve been sitting here with my stomach in knots. My 13yr old grandson has been in the ER for a few hrs now. Symptoms of leg shaking and heart racing. None now in the ER. My daughter just texted all tests are normal so he’s to follow up outpatient.

One of my first thoughts too-no, nothing recently. And thanks for the good vibes!

The only reason I ask is because I’ve been concussed quite a few times in my life, and almost all of them result in shaking of some body part..,

He’s had a few hits between his sports but none ever caused what may be overt concussions. I know it can be subtle and add up. Something my daughter will follow up with. This was the only time he actually got hit hard enough to bleed and sit out the rest of the game and that week. It was 2yrs ago.

I got hit with a crackback block and spent 18 minutes out cold on the field. The only thing that was moving was my right arm and it was apparently jumping around like crazy .. that was in the past and I was back on the field the next week.. Now you may not play for a month..

Some energy drinks or caffeinated shots can cause those types of reaction. He's at an age where they might be trying those kinds of things found at 7-11 & the like. They have some funky stuff in them. No bueno.

He’s a really active kid-plays travel baseball and hockey-which he loves-plays piano, drums and trombone-again he loves all this. He’s happy and upbeat all the time so this really seemed weird. I’m glad the tests are good so far though. 🤞🏻
