So, not gonna lie, I’m a bit nervous about going into town for Pride. Not been to one since 2019. I’m not that great in massive crowds these days either. 😳😬 fuuuuck.

it’s Pride can say and do anything lol you’ll be with friends so ignore the massive crowds. Pride weekend here too going to catch the drag shows this afternoon and the parade tomorrow. good luck and happy Pride 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🌈😎😘😘

I don’t like to involve myself in the community. It’s toxic and over hyped. I’ve never been impressed by any of the prides. It’s a waste of time and money, I’d rather actually enjoy myself and be somewhere quiet like the aquarium. I’m sure there are gay sharks there, I’ll just chill with them.🦈✨

I feel similar when I go. But, I think one of the advantages of Manc pride in particular is that given the main ‘zone’ isn’t huge, it’s fairly easy to duck out and give yourself a break if you need it. Have a fun time!

Maybe set yourself a goal of staying for a couple of hours without a drink and seeing how you feel, then decide if you want to stay or not. Sounds like you already realise it, but booze isn’t the friend it seems sometimes.

I know it's easy to say, but attempt to relax. If you need to take a moment or two in the bathroom sometimes to just breath deep. You'll be with friends. It's going to be fine. And we know that the thought of doing something is worse than actually doing it. 👍
