I think a lot of people are just mouthing off about it without having tried it or understanding how it works. Then there are the people who do have a tech background, but maybe feel threatened by it, or are just parroting whatever is the current acceptable left -wing opinion on it.

I use it all the time, even though it's taking away jobs from analysts like me. Well, that's just how tech works 🤷 It's here to stay, does remarkable things, so you've just go to go with the flow, no? A lot of the problems people are having are...err.....user error 😬😬

Yeah, I figure it's just a massively disruptive technological leap. I am concerned that humans could become entirely redundant. But there is also the possibility of viewing it as a tool you can use to become more productive.

It's probably saved me thousands of Euros this yr being able do things I would previously have paid for. It helps me with my hobbies and with work, and for expanding your culinary skills it's next level. Also, I have concerns, but a lot of people are letting it drive them a bit mad 😕

I find it sad in a way that technology is kind of replacing human connection. A lot of stuff we used to use each other for, like ask for directions or restaurant recommendations of specialist knowledge, we had already outsourced to Google etc. Now AI takes that much further.

OTOH, it's useful AF for summarizing scientific papers, doing tech support (I so don't miss trawling forums), and much more.
