Have you seen the fairly recent Brazilian film "Bacurau"? One of the best films of the 21st century. Kubrick meets Tarantino meets Glauber Rocha.

So many great filmmakers in Brazil. I'm a big fan of Hector Babenco. Ever heard of the Peruvian filmmaker Francisco Lombardi? He's made some great movies.
