Maybe we should focus on something that will fix more than just this issue: Namely access to mental Healthcare. This could put a huge dent in a lot of issues, instead we're beating our heads against the wall to change an amendment, which we're nowhere near politically for such a move.

As a mental health and addictions doc from the US and now in Canada, I disagree. Obviously I want better access to care. But itโ€™s not the answer for reducing gun violence. Itโ€™s not where driving the violence.

Then explain why other countries that allow the ownership of firearms experience less gun violence. I refuse to believe it's because we have so many guns, even if all gun owners had one gun, a kid could still get hold of them.
