2004, seeing Springsteen in Cleveland with my dad and he hadn’t bought tickets ahead of time and I was expecting the worst. We ended up directly beside the stage, eye level with Bruce. And REM opened, with them coming back to play Fortunate Son with Bruce and John Fogerty.

Back then, you could get really good seats by waiting until the day of; The artists typically held seats for media or VIPs, and would release them for sale if they weren't going to be used.
