The problem is that the GOP lived through Nixon, and decided that his resignation was the problem. Meanwhile, Democrats lived through Nixon, thought, "great, democracy always survives", and fell asleep in opposing Republican crimes.

The biggest crime was the election rigging under musk & probably thiel. Possibly also the Eaton corp. This is something that will hv 2 b battled in every single county in all the blue & swing states. All paper ballots could help. Then you wd hv 2 make sure the votes & ballots were not trashed.

It should also be remembered that many of the cast of characters surrounding Nixon stayed active in GOP politics and remain that way: Roger Ailes, Roger Stone, Dick Cheney... These were the guys that decided the crimes weren't the problem, the resignation was the problem... and carried it forth.

Yeah I remember reading Fox News got founded because Roger ailes decided that the problem in the Nixon affair was that he didn't have his own media outlet.

And more people should have paid attention to international politics. Reading about the life and rule of Ceausescu would be good for Americans. This is our future if we don’t correct course. I don’t think we want 24 years of the genius Trump family. www.cato.org/commentary/r...

Part of the problem is that the DNC decided we needed 24 years of a Clinton/Biden dynasty. Most Americans didn't want that, either.

I think you’re on to something here, Zeeps. However, no matter how you look at it, we are so screwed! Any thoughts on how to get through 2 1/2 more years of complete political malpractice?

We have a few Democratic stars, including AOC, Crockett, Booker, Garcia, Bernie, Schiff… and a whole lot of representatives that need to hear open derision from voters until they fucking wake up

Derision works for me. It’s always been my preferred weapon.
