This was not my argument, however to pretend that this country is somehow monolithically divided into “urban” & “rural” with the illusion that everyone is in perfect agreement regardless of where they live is absolutely no different than the arbitrary (&WRONG) categorization on any other
stupid & random characteristic which people want to use as a substitute for we are all individuals, deserve to be judged as such - and not lazily sorted into whatever convenient category those who are intellectually lazy wan’t to use to justify whatever prejudice they hold dear.
No person deserves arbitrary classification based on the shade of their skin, ethnic background, religious or spiritual beliefs (or lack of them), nor where they live. I did not magically change my values when I moved from the heart of Si valley to a rural sierra community that wasn’t even
on a printed map when I moved there (though the first was blue, the second red), nor did they change when I moved from CA to a blue county in a red state. Judge people on who & what they are, on their actions, not on arbitrary factors by which no person deserves to be judged.
Just my opinions, I don’t believe anyone need agree with them, nor to I expect them to.
